Senator John Heinz III Dies In Plane Crash

Landing gear jam up turns deadly

John Heinz III was an outspoken opponent of the Vietnam War and was a strong proponent for social services and the environment. He urged recongnition of Cuba. He died when

the landing gear on his small plane failed to function. The helicopter sent to survey the plane crashed into it.
